This is an absolutely amazing 19th century German porcelain decorative teapot. In Strasbourg style, this globular teapot is painted on both side with a large cluster of flowers and set with a branch form spout. There is a metal mounted hinged overhead handle and the cover with a bud form knop. The scoll molded stand is applied with sprays of flowers and leaves and small flowerheads. This teapot is absolutely amazing, is of a very high quality and is in good condition, except for some chips on the flowers and cracks on the spout due to the age. Very detailed, high quality work. Both, teapot and the stand have blue crossed swords marks as you can see in the photos. Maximum height of the teapot (with handle) is 10 in. (27.3 cm.), maximum width is 9 in. (24.1 cm.); height of the stand is 4 in. (12.1 cm.); maximum width is 9 in.
